Lunch at La Petite Maison in Mayfair
Yesterday I went for lunch at La Petite Maison in Mayfair to celebrate an achievement with my amazing boyfriend and his family. This was the first time I have visited La Petite Maison and I must say if you are ever taking a trip down to Mayfair then this restaurant is an absolute must. This place is what fine dining is all about. The food is delicious and every dish on the menu has a special touch to it so it was difficult to choose which dish to go for.
La Petite Maison is a very popular French restaurant and is well known for their Mayfair and City reputation/clientele. They serve a variety of dishes from meat, fish, deserts, coffee and not to forget an extensive wine list.
For starters we decided to go for Carpaccio of Tuna and Mediterranean Vegetables Marinated in Olive Oil with Feta to share. These two dishes were great starters to choose from as there not to heavy. The Carpaccio of Tuna was particularly nice, seasoned perfectly and just melted in your mouth.
For mains we decided to go for Slow Cooked Duck Legs with Orange Glaze, Roast Baby Chicken Marinated in Lemon and to finish off we shared a few sides which included Steamed Broccoli, Green Beans, Baked Gratinated Potatoes and French Fried Potatoes. All dishes were to die for and were just the right amount for us all.
The atmosphere was so lovely and relaxing and the service was super fast and friendly. After our bellies were fully satisfied as we left I was so angry with myself that I didn’t take any decent photos but next time I head down I will definitely take a few. Lastly if you are bothered about cost then this place wouldn’t be ideal, however the food is simply amazing and it is definitely worth every penny to enjoy with family and friends for a special occasion.
