How To Stay Motivated When Exercising

Sticking to a workout or diet plan is hard! Should that be depressing to you? No! If you don't know where to start then don't panic, the best thing to do is work towards a finishing goal. 

 

An example if there's a specific dress a few sizes down that you want to fit into then pin it up against your wardrobe, look at it every day and say to yourself I used to fit into that dress so why can't I now? I have listed a few tips that hopefully will help! 

 

When exercising:

 

  • Do it yourself. Choose a social platform or online fitness tool.

  • Make a really good playlist. Upbeat music can really help boost your energy levels.

  • Set goals. Start with simple goals and then progress to longer range goals. 

  • Don't fall back on excuses; treat exercise like you would with any other important activity. 

  • Change your routine. Switch up your workouts (challenge yourself).

  • If you don't like working out on your own find a gym buddy.

  • Schedule. Make time for your workouts whether it's just for 30 minutes a day if you work hard it's still worth it!  

  • Have some fun. If you’re not a fan of workouts then try sports or activities that you enjoy e.g: dance, Zumba, swimming. It's also good to vary your routine to keep you on your toes.

  • After your workout track your progress, post your minutes and miles (whatever motivates you)
